Cone teeth repair as a result of composite construction
Repair of underdeveloped lateral incisors, known as "cone teeth," with two composite superstructures for improved aesthetics and functionality.
How did this composite construction result in a new smile?
Before treatment at MOND
A common dental issue is underdeveloped lateral incisors, often described as "cone teeth." This defect is usually accompanied by gaps between the canines and/or central incisors, as was the case with this patient.
After MOND
In this instance, we used two composite superstructures to build these teeth.
The technical side of this treatment involved selecting the right colour and shape of composite materials to achieve a natural look. We also took occlusion into account (the contact between upper and lower teeth when the mouth is closed) to ensure a smooth bite. The final result is not only an improved look, but also restoration of normal tooth function.
